I started Dog Sport in 1995 quickly becoming a National level Helper, President & Training Director of Coast Schutzhund Club (DVG) & West Coast Schutzhund Club (USCA), also owner of West Coast K9 Academy.  Along the way I've titled numerous dogs & breeds including (8) HOT from puppies to Sch3, VPG3, IGP3, FH1-2, Breed Survey, ect.  I've also competed at many Championships including (3) FCI World Teams, Trained & Handled multiple American Siegers, as well as Helper for countless Trials and Championships. My passion as WKG & LV-OFG for over (15) years has been to develop our Helper & Training Director Programs and mentor as many Helpers as possible. I continue to serve and support DVG & AWDF any way I can.

The most satisfying part of this journey for me has been helping hundreds of club members reach their goals and dreams.  Judging gives me an avenue to share my knowledge and experience learned over the past (30) years with new handlers, and hopefully this will be a benefit to some.  Recently I opened a restaurant in Seattle called Katsuya which takes most of my time aside from my family and two teenagers Ava & Zalen.  I would like to thank the membership for the honor of judging this championship and wish the best of luck to all the competitors.

Best Regards,

Ted Hartman
